Armageddon Clock Ticks Closer To Midnight

From the New York Times comes a story that Iran now has enough nuclear material to make a bomb. Well ain't that special.

Iran has now produced roughly enough nuclear material to make, with added purification, a single atom bomb, according to nuclear experts analyzing the latest report from global atomic inspectors.

The figures detailing Iran’s progress were contained in a routine update on Wednesday from the International Atomic Energy Agency, which has been conducting inspections of the country’s main nuclear plant at Natanz. The report concluded that as of early this month, Iran had made 630 kilograms, or about 1,390 pounds, of low-enriched uranium.

So while the west has been doing hand wringing, debating in the UN, passing useless resolutions and sanctions, along with the IAEA, led by by that most honorable of Muslims al Baradei,[sarc] has been lending cover for the mad mullahs and Ahmadinejad, they continue on the path to developing a nuclear bomb.

Europe with its infinite head in the sand, appeasing mentality is gambling that the Iranians have only one target in mind, that being Tel Aviv, Israel.

Fortunately Israel is not one to sit around and wait for one of their cities to get wiped off the face of the earth before they take action.

Now that we know the Islamic nutjobs still hate us, no matter who is president, and now that the media is through slobbering all over their chosen candidate to be in the White House, will they now turn up pressure on "The One" to protect them from the radicals. If they put half as much energy into making people aware of the Islamic threat as they have put into demonizing the Bush administration, a lot of people in this country are going to have something worse then a post election hangover to worry about.

How will an Obama administration deal with the problem? In my opinion, they are filled with a lot of folks who aren't exactly friends of Israel, so they will do next to nothing. Ahmadinejad will go through the farce of saying he is willing to talk to us, while using the same tactics that North Korea has used for years. They will bluster, stomp their feet, continue to act like little 5 year olds and walk away hoping to get another concession to come back to the table and all the while it will be full speed ahead with their nuclear weapons program.

If they ever do carry out an attack with a nuclear weapon I have no doubt Obambi will be right there in front of the cameras, behind a microphone and with a properly functioning teleprompter to express his deep regret and condolences.

The single greatest threat to Western civilization is the spread of Islamic fundamentalism. They are the ones behind the piracy on the high seas of ships, the intimidation of authors, artists and actors under the guise of Islamophobia and continued hatred towards Israel from the UN through the use of the Human Rights Council.
